#75393 RE: plexrec #75391

plexrec, thank you for your question,

If we go back to the piano player, people can think what ever they want about her ability to play the piano and sight read. Sight reading is a pretty high function if you ask me. But the thing that overshadows both those things was her mood.

My Mom died of Alzheimers in 2012 and I took care of her for 10 years leading up to that. Her whole life she was a model of civility but towards the end she was a Holy Terror. Her Aides would call me during work and tell me they couldn’t handle her. All 5’2”, 95lbs. I would have to call another Aide to aid the Aide. Now we’re up to $40.00 an hr. for a baby sitter.

The piano player was connecting with people and in the moment for the time we were able to see. Then there was the Artist. Also behaving quite nicely for the TV spot anyway. And connecting with people again. This was a point Dr. Macfarlane made about the group of patients as a whole. That what was important was not so much their ability to score on a test but their improved social behaviors that made living more enjoyable.

You still have to cook dinner and help your parents with day to day living needs. As you get older that is a fact of life. The quality of that time looks to be more favorable with A2-73. Does that make it “quality merchandise?” In my opinion, yes.

If it can halt the progression of the disease in younger people, which hasn’t been disproven to this point, then it’s a no brainer. If it can do better than halt the progression… Didn’t some normal mice getter smarter on it?

The more I read about the studies concerning Anavex 2-73, the more value I see in it.
