I've dealt with them in the past for over 20 years, and the only thing they respect is bold strength, and the only thing they care about is themselves.

Trump is "bold strength" (that's how he got the candidacy, and that's what his platform runs on), and coincidentally, the only thing he cares about is America's greatness.

So, where's the difference?

Far as I can tell, Trump would finally put America on equal ground with Putin/Russia, which is far more Obama has ever done.
