Alzheimer's is much worse than Cancer! Dignity! Honor! When one is stricken with most deadly afflictions (save sudden fatal heart attack) one has the opportunity to be an inspiration to others though fighting with courage, acceptance with bravery, and maintaining one's dignity by remaining cheerful and avoiding self pity. We all must eventually die, but to die with honor has throughout history been highly valued. To die in a righteous battle to be an inspiration to others and to have fought the good fight has always been regarded as a "good death." Alzheimer's robs a person of the right to die a "good death", the last honor of a life well lived.
