To suggest that one who is diagnosed with alzheimers cannot "fight with courage, acceptance with bravery, and maintain one's dignity by remaining cheerful and avoiding self pity" denigrates the many and their families who do just that.
To write that one is a "righteous battle" while leaving the implication the other is not worthy is inaccurate.
Further, to conclude that alzheimers precludes a " good" or "honorable death" as well as the opportunity to inspire others is also inaccurate.
I do agree with the hope that AVXL has an answer to this devastating illness.
