Let me answer your question with another question. If you could take a vaccine that would greatly reduce your chances of developing cancer, or any disease for that matter, regardless of whether it is a transmittable disease or not, would you take it?

If your answer to this question is yes, then this approach makes all the sense in the world.

It is old myth when scientist tried to cure cancer with vaccine but without much success in late 80s early 90s and researchers eventually gave up on idea that vaccine could cure cancer at all. It is myth because there is already FDA approved vaccine for cancer called Provenge. There will be handful of drugs that will cure cancer in future but it would matter most which drug cures cancer fast and without much side effects and that is where TPIV cancer vaccine could come into play. If drug x cures in 180 days and there is another drug that could cure in 90 days it will make world of difference and TPIV will have competitive advantage if its vaccine can improve immune system to fight cancer.
