Yes, the subscription aspect I feel should wait as well really to get some of those other publishers.
The more I think about Android, it makes me think, some publishers might just wait until they hit that point and know that their content will be available at the scale they want (99% of the market instead of 20-25%). That is one thing I see as easily changing in terms of publishers coming on board. Image was really great to see early as they are one of the preferred publishers on Comixology as well. So, that is good company and it really paves the way for those others in that list to feel comfortable about being on both platforms.
As far as articles, I'm a little surprised as well, but it could be on purpose due to Android not being ready. But personally I would rather see it out there regardless. I actually sent some emails to a few of those places to suggest a story.
Speaking of Valiant, do you think a hesitation for them might be that they are already making good money on the old content or that they and others might want to see that purchase feature added so people could purchase and not just take the 50% ad revenue? Per book I would think the purchase is definitely more money in terms of revenue, but that's just a guess.
I specifically asked about the purchase feature during Beta and Rick Strom had no hesitation in saying that is really a pretty easy feature to add when the time comes. He didn't say when it would be so it's hard to say the time frame to get that added. Be nice to get that news within the next month before comic-con. docg
