#54240 RE: Doc logic #54234

I provided a study that was done that found long term use of TMZ (> 6 cycles) statistically significant to long-term survival.

But, that doesn't mean I'm not acknowledging UCLA's theory that DCVax-L potentially changes the patients DNA to make them more susceptible to TMZ. Perhaps patients in the past who were not responsive to TMZ suddenly become responsive to TMZ. Data has been shared on this iHub regarding that phenomenon. I can smile and agree with you that TMZ is a low-hanging fruit. I truly believe there is a synergy with TMZ+Vaccine, and I hope this study is able to statistical prove that. However, I also recognize there was no control arm in the earlier studies, and had there been a placebo group that was able to deviate from Stupp protocol, they too may have seen a high OS given the inclusion criteria the study was privy to. If one is being objective, they recognize the burden of proof is not anywhere near a slam dunk for DCVax-L. Boom or bust, my bet is on DCVax-L and that it extends OS.

Agree. TMZ is synergistic with dendritic cell treatments. It is well documented for anyone that wants to dig. I have posted on this subject many times. RK's concerns are misplaced...whether intentionally or accidentally, I do not know, but it is a question worth pondering. Cheers!

And no, RK, I neither read your post, nor saw it, nor do I have a desire to...I already know what to expect out of you. I am responding to Doc's post and agreeing that your concerns are misplaced based on my own prior DD. IMO the synergism with TMZ and the timing of the implementation of the Stuppe protocol as SoC are primary reasons why NWBO decided to move directly to a P3.
