First we have to get our pitching straightened out - and buying high-priced talent nearing the end of their careers isn't the answer, IMO.
Also, it's no secret that having 2 key hitters - Shef and Matsui - on the DL is really hurting us.

Can the YANKEES make a decent showing in the 2nd half? We'll see, but IMO it won't happen without making some changes. It wouldn't be so horrible to write a season OR TWO off to re-building - many NY fans and the NY press probably don't agree with me. I can handle a re-building program if it's well-planned/well-executed.

With all that said, tonight's game is approx 1hr away...GO YANKEES!!!
