I said "an" extension. I didn't say two, three, or four extensions... 1 extension is almost always never an issue. I clerked at a commercial litigation firm for 2 years.. I can't recall an instance where 1 extension was not granted. There was either a stipulation between the parties or a granted motion by the judge. The judge knows that it's so easy to argue for 1 extension that you would piss him off if you didn't stipulate between each other.

C'mon, Shaj. Initial requests for extensions are very common, and are almost always granted. Usually the plaintiff has no objection, as in this case.

If subsequent requests are seen as mere excuses, yes, they'll be denied.
