His opinion...that means he's entitled to it, so not sure what's for there to understand?

Good, bad or indifferent of the CEO, he inherited a company that was left for dead, with a horrendous reputation and kept it alive, while fostering and expanding relationships with the likes of Materion and Engel. When, during the "old years" of Liquidmetal, did Materion execs visit their HQ to see an Engel machine and when did LQMT and those saintly former execs get invited to an Engel Symposium to meet Engel's contacts and customers? Do you really seriously think those premier companies are expanding their relationships with the company despite the CEO, and not because of him? Come on.

Yes, he's made blunders, but they were on the precipice of collapse. Try taking over a business with a trashed reputation, all premier scientists gone, and no money, and see where you end up. The past is done and the future is speculative, but if any investor won't trade the past (and move on from it) to look to the future, then they should sell and never look back. It's 13 cents, you have a highly risky opportunity with a similar percentage of reward. Look at the price, the risk and reward, and look to where they are now. Not defending the CEO, he may still not produce what matters by creating market value, but if anyone thinks they can take over a company like this and avoid mistakes, let alone push forward to where they are with Engel, then they are wasting their time with this company and should take their Investment in this company, sell off, look for a similar situation to CEO themselves and run with that. Then it's all theirs - along with the headaches and good luck trying to rebuild and and grow relationships with premier companies. I get where you're coming from - the frustration, but try and remind yourself there are positives here and there were serious negatives where the company should probably be finished.

With all due respect, it ain't that easy to avoid foul-ups in this scenario. Actually, if there weren't foul-ups, you'd almost wonder if this was a penny stock scam. GL.
