Mich, your 2008 freeze-thaw article on mice was interesting. if you go to the national cancer institute site, they have many more recent articles on cryopreservation, which is what Nwbio uses, including a site found at els.net where it details info on cryopreservation and thawing of mammal cells.
this article talks about how important it is to get every step right in order to preserve the cell characteristics when it is thawed. There are many cryopreservation methods. Nwbio's is patented. I did not see a reference to Nwbio in your article, so I'm sure we can assume they didn't use Nwbio's proprietary method for cryopreservation. Also, Nwbio's method does not involved REPEATED freeze-thaw. Just once
However, if the 2008 mouse method extends life beyond what NWbio currently does, I'm sure LP will be interested in partnering or trying it out once DCVax l is approved.
