I agree with your assessment that there was not a lot of oversight when it came to the FDA response.

But, that confuses me to all get out. This was a response that was basically ordered by the court and as such should definitely been under the auspices of their attorneys. Unless their attorneys are as dumb as rocks.

More than likely as you suppose, the FDA told them "We'll handle this as this is something we do everyday, so butt out".

Now it looks like it will bite them in the ass.

I would hazard a guess if more are coming they'll be at the court by tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. Would be worked over this weekend before hitting the court. Next date scheduled by the judge is 6/18 (i think the FDA) and 6/25 for AMRN rebuttal if I am not mistaken. Anyone filing an Amicus would want the court to be made aware of it sooner than later if it is filed in support of the plaintiff - so as not to further hold up proceedings.
