I suggest you call a dealership, any dealership, talk to a service writer or manager and tell them your fictitious vehicle modified with performance enhancing parts and reflashes of computers has internal or external engine/trans/driveline/check engine light or drivability problems and see what they say. They will say they will diag your concerns for an hourly fee, and if the concern is related to your modifications, you will have to pay out of your pocket for the repair as your warranty will not be honored. Go ahead, make the call and report back to us.

The comment you quoted is explaining why it is likely that an OEM (Tesla) would reject warranty claim based on tuner modifications (Saleen).

This is exactly the point "autthor Frederic" was making in his article.
