I don’t see how someone’s occupation can affect the validity of the claims. Especially when all the sources are clearly disclosed. Like in this case.

All evidence point toward the fact that Saleen lied about a lot of information regarding the “Saleen Tesla”. Including being "fully in partnership with Tesla". Something they themselves "corrected" just a few days later.

Anyone can contact Saleen's Pr and ask them if this is true: pr@saleen.com

As for the warranty, no one is claiming you can void a warranty without cause, but clearly Tesla can claim the unauthorized modifications affected the parts claimed. Which would be very likely since the Model S is software heavy. Changing any data intput can affect the car's performances.

Here’s an interesting entry. If this is true, shouldn’t have Saleen needed to disclose layoffs? Recent on site reports confirm there’s never more than 20 cars in Saleen’s parking lot. Last time Saleen reported an headcount they said 30.

Saleen is just on the other side of the El Prado dam from my studio, I have been to several events at their Corona office and know many of the people that have worked or currently work there or have done business with them. I have to say that from the rumblings I heard around Pebble Beach and the SEMA Show this year, none of this comes as a surprise. Whispers of layoffs, cutbacks, and customers left wondering if they would see their car all made their way to my phone since mid summer.

Some of Frederic's Saleen Arguments completely FLOPPED

Sure there are some bad signs

Some of Frederic's were silly at best. How on earth can you confirm cut gearing just by looking at the body kit? Huh??

Is Saleen lying in order to sell its version of the Tesla Model S?

All the following prices are according to Saleen’s published price sheet.

The only work done to the display car that we could visually confirmed were the body kit ($152,000 including stock P85 from Tesla), the Saleen interior ($13,300), the new brakes ($14,500) and the Colorlab paint job ($25,000) for a total of $204,800. This already doesn’t match the $194,000 figure given by Saleen’s representative and it doesn’t include all the performance options such as the new spur-gear ($6,200), new locking differential ($6,200), Saleen’s stability control system ($2,500) and new suspension ($6,000) which would bring the grand total to $225,700 or $31,700 more than the MSRP confirmed by Saleen’s representative

Interesting that Frederic didn't bother to mention another Tesla conversion, modification the T Sportline which costs over $200,000 dollars and doesn't feature any performance modications http://ecomento.com/2014/03/18/worlds-expensive-tesla-model-s-205000/

The world’s most expensive Tesla Model S is yours for $205,000

Saleen takes a lot of short cuts and always has.
No surprise that many of the Tesla performance claims made by Saleen are not true or cannot be validated. Saleen has been sued by:

1) S7 Customers for Engine Failures
2) Ford Dealerships for stealing 7 Mustangs
3) Ford for the Focus recall
4) NTSB for Safety Violations (no Airbags)
5) NTSB for no certifications on the S7 and the Focus
6) Customers - Lemon Law cases
7) Court of Sussex England for contract performance failure
8) Banks for lack of payment
9) Vendors for lack of payment

The facts regarding the Warranty on Tesla is that any modification of the tuning of the car or suspension by Saleen or the Customer directly would void the Tesla Warranty. You cannot expect Tesla to fix a problem for free that was the result of "high performance" treatments added by a tuner company (Saleen).

By the way,As a result of the Saleen N2O Focus recall Ford issued a letter to all the Ford Dealerships which clarified specifically that if Tuned or Modified Ford's (Mustang, Focus, F150's, etc..) show up at the dealerships that they are prohibited from processing the repairs under a Warranty claim that would be paid for by Ford. The customer would have to pay for 100% of the repairs and the Ford Service authorization form was changed to include this notice.

Last week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Saleen unveiled its “Foursixteen”, a tuned version of Tesla’s Model S. They displayed a production model that sported a body kit and a revisited interior. On top of the aesthetic changes, Steve Saleen, CEO of Saleen Automotive, and a company representative, Max, made quite a few claims about performance upgrades made to Tesla’s award wining sedan:
