They are demonstrating Schotts GLASS along side 3Dicon and the GLASS is the ENABLING TECHNOLOGY for C-Space which means they have accomplished much in the last year in identifying the right composition for the GLASS.This is a HUGE STEP and I for one am very excited that they can do a demonstration today.Im not sure everyone understands the significance of this. Jim Stien during the Q@A at last summers meeting here in Tulsa said the funding was needed to start the melting process.You can go back and listen to what he said exactly.I remember he also said he had a meeting set up with Hakki that coming week to look at a catalogue of glass and that , if needed,would create what they needed if they couldn't find exactly what they wanted but would be in the ballpark of what they needed right of the bat.Remember Doug said in the Medical Device Daily article that all they needed was the GLASS and they could then move toward developing technologies for Medical imaging.This today signifies continued progress and I for one am very very pleased to see this taking place today.
