Sammy had his hop, Jeter crows on TV commercials how he likes fans in other cities booing the Yankees, Manny stands and watches like it is a golf shot. It is widespread.

I think the whole thing, like most Yank-Sox stuff is just for a story. However, A-Rod may be making a big deal out of it as a way to try to fire the Yankees up.

As for me, he looked lost on the popup homer. Kinda the way he always is. :)

I have tix to NATS game w/YANKEES on June 18. There HAVE to be enough YANKEE/NATS fans in the DC area to make it interesting.

national report: does anyone have any other early season front-runners for NL rookie of the year, to go along with ryan zimmerman? and, has anyone noticed alfonso "don't put me in left field" soriano is leading the NL in assists while jose "i'm the second baseman in this town" vidro is quietly leading the NL in average? three starting pitchers on the DL, two due back by end of june. don't count these guys, (who can hit) out just yet. but first things first: must take two of three from the dodgers this weekend, which would be their fourth straight series win.....

PS: very classy post-game with frank robinson yesterday. was
at the game, and lecroy was single-handedly about to lose the game. extremely rare and difficult move replacing lecroy in the
middle of an inning, (a move frank clearly wished he didn't have
to make) but it was the right move.
