I think the effect on the stock from posters is limited mostly to the members of the board being posted to (if I stated that clearly).

Depending on the amount of DD you do (and understand) on your own, the tendency is to rely on your judgement of the expertise of the ones who post here. Your DD is less science and more social-awareness, and trying to judge who knows what they are talking about and whether they are telling the truth.

And people tend to say things with an air of certainty whether or not they know WTF they are talking about. It's a societal thing, I guess.
