You can't just hit a stock hard in the morning then slow up mid day, this gives the MM's a chance to build a giant wall at the ask, which is what happened right down the line first with the 19's, then the 18's and that led to sells down to the 16's, plus there were many who got in early and took large profits anyway at those prices...
