Excellent points, Mide. You are spot-on, as usual. I am disappointed that you and others have decided to cease and desist with the messages from IR, however, if it forces the powers that be to set up a more equitable info delievery mechanism, the end result will be beneficial for all.
As to the larger issue: How to influence IR to set up the FAQ page or some sort of info pipeline to investors? Obviously, well-reasoned, passionate imprecations have been ineffective. Why is this, do you think? It seems only logical that to establish a centralized method for informational delivery to shareholders would greatly reduce the daily burden of correspondence, eliminate the margin for translation (or interpretation) error, and generally increase shareholder satisfaction. So what is the benefit to the company for resisting this change? Who is benefited by the way information is distributed NOW?
As always, I am concerned about the unintended consequences of seemingly benign action. If I can no longer obtain information from you and others in this environment, I will be forced to stalk IR. This is both good and bad: My info will come directly from IR, and will not be 2nd or 3rd or 52nd hand. However, I may not be able to obtain the info I seek from Bleckman or staff. In addition, since I have refrained from a constant barrage of email to IR due largely to the availability of info at this board, it stands to reason that the daily work load of the IR people will increase exponentially. I can't see this as a positive, as I'd prefer they be working on marketing the product and seeking out venues to further the business agenda of the company rather than answer insipid emails and phone calls all day long.
