mymoneybgone,

The company you reference has interesting technology.

I noticed in one of the demo's their product interfaces with an Enterprise Class Lenovo Think Pad that has a finger print scanner and we know there are TPM chips in their business class Laptops.

I would think their devices could make good use of making sure when they power on that they are in a known and trusted state. Then there are all the other security challenges of ensuring the data their devices are transmitting to an Identifying central data base for checking what the readings are identifying.

I would think the protection of the central data base holding the substances spectrographic digital signatures would be important.

Who and what device is accessing the information and can the data stored be altered etc.

Sounds like TC could be involved at some point.

Hey, who knows maybe Wave could help them in their security efforts, The Trusted and Known Visualant Cyclops device:)

Cheers

mmbg, you are persistently making a case that Wave has little potential going forward and whereas I agree the investment remains speculative there are some positive signs with the recent $2.3m large insurance company sale being one of them. Kinda shoots down your contention that due to reputation that companies shy away from doing business with Wave.

Actually you reference Samsung and other partners and not having deals in place. I'm surprised you focus on OEM relationships when the stated strategy is to target large enterprise customers. Wave is finally almost completely weaned off a significant OEM contract (Dell) that the previous CEO sat on for many years in lieu of developing a deployable TPM solution and yet here you are talking about more OEM partnerships. Go figure.

At least with the Micron OEM partnership the partner is funding development work (to be later reimbursed if it results in Wave revenues), meanwhile the company is pursuing the most important line of billings growth, enterprise sales with a focus on the large customer, large billings.
