Depends what brokerage(s) you go through. I have two brokerage accounts. One ETRADE to buy more MIKP shares (and other companies that have the chill) and another one (Ameritrade) that has most of my MIKP shares and other companies.

Ameritrade is a lot more stricter than ETRADE, thus the reason that I have 2 brokerages. There are pros and cons of both of the brokerages. I like trading in Ameritrade better than ETRADE as there is more flexibility in trading.

Go MIKP!

N4, the chill is a factor, but not the elephant in the room, imo.

a) Mark has gotten chills removed on MIKP before.
if we get reinstated to pinks and are fully reporting,
that should be an easier task than it was before.

b) as Sky replied, Etrade and other brokers do allow buying chilled stocks.
and many of us got Etrade accounts over the past few years for exactly this reason.
viz, all my post-RS MIKP shares are with Etrade,
while my RS'd-to-nothing shares linger in my Ameritrade acct.

related, imo, Etrade is a better trading platform than Ameritrade on many facets.
the only things i miss from Ameritrade are:

• ability to set the end date for GTC orders.
useful when you know an RS or other material event is coming.

• ability to set GTC orders that never expire.
useful for maintaining your place in the order queue
when fishing for 0001s over a long haul.

Etrade only allows GTC 60 days.
