#89388 RE: maronti1 #89386

maronti, fwiw, cap gains from blockbuster MIKP sales would be a unnoticed drop in the USA cap gains bucket.
viz:

MIKP OS is currently 2.146 billion.
if MIKP ran to $0.10 on blockbuster news of WS completion and ST financing/production,
that would yield $215 million in gross sales.

given suspension, nearly all of those shares have been held for over 2 years,
meaning long-term cap gains taxes.

even if we were all in the top tax bracket (for gross annual earnings),
the long term cap gains rate on that would be 25%.
meaning $54 million total to IRS in a peak run scenario
in which everyone sold every share at a peak price.
(aka: impossibly inflated math)

in comparison, AAPL, alone, trading 43m shares yesterday at avg price of ~$115,
meaning ~$5 billion in dollar volume traded in a single day.

aka: AAPL has traded more dollar volume every 20 minutes, every day this week,
than would occur if every single outstanding MIKP share were traded at $0.10.

nutshell, while MIKP recovering is important to us shareholders,
MIKP is plankton in a sea of whales to the IRS.
