Maybe because "my cousin Dave who has an accounting degree from a non-accredited online university" would not instill much confidence in current or potential shareholders... ;)

No doubt they would claim that it's because the firm concerned would be swamped with calls from naysayers like me.
That's usually the excuse used for never naming the Fortune 500 companies who are lining up to buy the company/product, or for why the TA is gagged.
