#239663 RE: Bluefang #239659

One issue for enterprises deploying TC and TPMs is the implementation of the PKI it requires. Especially for large IT departments this is a major decision and move away from what they are doing. Not so long ago PwC was an example of one of the relatively few major organizations other than federal/military with a PKI. VSC was only released 3 1/2 months ago and sales cycles to large IT departments are notoriously complicated and long in duration especially in evaluating and deploying a solution that involves an entire network of users and devices and is a fundamental transition away from deployed methodology.

It's hard to deny that a first federal customer and dozens of pilots across multiple commercial sectors is an encouraging development and shows demonstrable interest in the solution. Solms indicated there are about 100 customers in varying stages of development. It seems unlikely imo that this isn't the start for VSC 2.0 and the TPM solutions-based side of Wave's business in general. Wave has been repopulated with personnel who have experience in selling solutions to enterprises, federal and commercial, SMB and large. Imo it's unlikely many of these folks leave good positions with reputable firms for an opportunity that's a loser.

No point in arguing or speculating. Some perspectives are optimistic, some pessimistic, some in between, there can be agendas on different sides and so on. We can only wait for the business to happen or not.
