The way I read it is that there are 23 billion shares still held by the DTCC that are in electronic form.
The mailout is being sent to 36,000 shareholders.
23,000,000,000/36,000 = 638,888 share average per shareholder
Shareholders accounted for:
33,125 shareholders have already requested their share in certificate form for a total number of shares equaling 572,911,527,703.
572,911,527,703/33,125 = 17,295,442 share average per shareholder
That's a HUGE discrepency in the average number of shares held between the two groups. Any statistician would tell you that the "accounted for shareholders" represent far beyond a more than adequate sample size. One large enough to at least be representative of the average number of shares held. In other words, the remaining number of shareholders average number of shares is more than likely 17 million per shareholder as well.
Granted, it could be argued that they are two different samples one of which is a group that takes inititative to report and one that does not. But I don't think even that arguement could support or explain such a dramatic difference in average number of shares held per shareholder. 17,295,442 vs. 638,888? No way.

85 % [ includes the latest DTCC dump out of the vault ] of the count has been faxed in. There are other of your famous lists that have more shares and shareholders to eat into the remaining 15 % plus the insiders, plus the lettered stock that never hit the counter, plus whatever these new 35,000 people hold, plus the International count. Way way more than 703 billion altogether. Frizz is not desperate .. more like relentless.
