Desert Dweller...great post, I know alot of us feel as frustrated, as I have stated before are esteemed ceo was head of licensing before he bacame ceo and his track record was no better signing new deals back then. I can't understand why we get bashed for pointing this out and the loyalty to are ceo by longs here, when he has done pretty much the same poor job with a better title and more pay. Mr Merrit, just make the deals and not the bonus deals to increase your pay, we long term shareholders need to see some shareholder value.

My thinking is that since LG is qualatatively a new day for idcc, unless everyone in the industry was aware of the deal months before news was announced that it has to have fundamentally altered whtever negotiations were ongoing at the time. It's not as if the next day the other side(s) were going to throw in the towel and give into the demands of a newly strengthened Interdigital....but the good guys have to have more leverage than they did three months ago, and i am willing to wait and see if it can be put to good use.
