Thank you for this message. It is overpowering. I have a son who is nine. He lost his grandma when he was one. A day after she died I self-diagnosed cancer. It was confirmed by ultra-sound and scans. I will not relay the rest of the story at this time (I am cured), only to say that I can only imagine the struggle Helen, you, her daughter and everyone else went through. It is a brutal disease, and she withstood a brutal therapy regime for quite some time. I pray we all see an end to this suffering. No matter how this turns out, your patience here is not in vain. I will carry your story in my heart. Thank you.

For Helen, stories like hers is why PFS as an endpoint is so important. Thank you for sharing her story. And thank you for keeping her memory alive. My sister passed away unexpectedly several years ago, and her husband passed 2 years later of cancer, so my family tries to do the same thing with their 2 boys. We all get together (huge family) to celebrate their birthdays, as kids need that. My grieving brother and sister-in-law took the boys in and are loving/raising them as their own. It just goes to show that life goes on but often not as we expect it to.

I think this hub forgets how many silent participants there are on these boards. I was one not too long ago. Welcome to the conversation. Best, RK
