tc - Thank for the response.
Per the instructions, at the command prompt, I entered D: (My CD drive)
next prompt... cd i386
3rd prompt...expand sndvol32.ex_c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

After 3rd prompt is where I get the "no destination" message. Isn't what I entered in the 3rd prompt the destination? If not, what do I enter?

Unexpected company just here, and I want to try using Dell's Drivers and Utilities CD to install device drivers later tonight if I get time.

FWIW - I also uninstalled Spybot, and downloaded Media Player. Someone suggested Media Player may be involved.

Let me play with it for a bit more, and if I have no success, I'll get back to you, prolly tomorrow.
