Great post. Just one correction. I think Tally might still be working for Saleen, but I'm not 100% sure.

John Spruill went to work for Tesla Motors after Saleen went under in 2008 and he still work there in vehicle testing.

A few things... They didn't get the base cars at no cost. They did pay for them as they ordered them through specific dealerships depending on if they were for the Troy,MI or Irvine,CA Plant or the Saleen dealers could drop ship cars directly to Saleen. The Chassis plus what the Saleen options cost were transferred over to the dealers floor-plan and Saleen was paid accordingly.

There are a lot of things that go with the deal of the "company" being sold to that Detroit based company that were not done correctly or legal for that matter. That is why Steve got back the "Saleen" name a few years ago after a court battle.

As for the S7 not being able to be registered is not true. The S7 is still being driven and can be registered to this day. Maybe specific local laws would not allow it to be but I know where I live I wouldn't have a problem getting plates for one.

Saleen is running on empty in regards to the money department according to the filings BUT they have the team in place to develop the next Saleen Supercar and its just a matter of time before they do this among other projects.
