The money to build the studio would have to come from the development authority, not from MDNT, which has little money to pay for anything.

They would issue bonds for cash to do the construction.

MDNT would be allowed a lease to occupy the studio.....free for a little while, then they would pay the development authority after that.

MDNT will not own the building, if it ever does get built.

Maybe, Koppelman or Patterson has a business partner or another movie production company lined up to acquire Medient on the cheap but would still benefit shareholders out of this disaster that has taken place. The property & tax incentives of the State could be worth it alone. The company also has film assets including "Yellow" which hasn't been released yet & the debt has been paid by shareholders.

Where will they get the money from to build anything?

Money should come from a Real Estate Loan. They have the land lease and possibly could subordinate the lease payments to the lender. The buildings will be pledge to the loan. They are asking for much less money to build this project now. They have receivables to pledge etc. Lender will also look at Management with Koppelman and Paterson involved this will help IMO. I feel that they can get this done for phase one. The original cost was ridiculous! No Glamour here. Real assets with normal construction loan. Real Deal. IMO

The last we heard from Koppelman, he said he would be looking to his contacts from 40 years in the entertainment industry for funding. Similar comment from gov. Patterson. I didn't like seeing Georgia folk get burned either. IMO, KOP would be long gone if he didn't see something here. The conspiracy theorists that said Jake & Manu were a team in all this went out the window yesterday. Some thought that 8-k was very fishy. It wasn't. Kop's still here. "Something" is going to happen.. I'm betting this entire thing was Koppleman to the rescue!! And I'm upping my bid on one of those million to .0005 right now if anyone wants to sell a few.
