Autoinvestor, it happens, has happened, is happening

Imagine this. You pay $85K for a S model Tesla .
You transfer your brand new beautiful, perfectly running EV on a flatbed tow over to the Saleen guys

It would be in an enclosed trailer not getting pulled down the street by a Heavy Duty pickup truck Ha Ha

A Bugatti Veyron which costs a few more dollars than a Tesla Model S can be sent to an outfit called Prindville to get tuned. So I think if the owners of a million dollar Bugatti can send their cars out to get tuner, i think some Tesla owners will do the same. Owners of Ferrari's, Porsche's etc have done the same thing by sending their cars to tuners to have them modified.

Did you happen to read any of the Tesla Owner forum boards about the Saleen Tesla Model S? There are some that are current and prospective owners that are looking forward to Steve's version of the Model S

Steve Saleen has been doing this for 30 years. He's not an amateur tearing apart cars with no clue what he's doing. He helped design and assemble the GT40 and built plenty of his own supercars.

If a Tesla owner decides to ship their Model S over to Saleen HQ...how does Steve get blamed for this? LOL

Let's say you do . Now you get in your new Saleen Tesla.
Will it start? Maybe ? It does, so you take it for a spin.
It's fast. It corners well, you are getting happy. Then, the battery dies after two miles and there is smoke coming out of the air ducts.
You tow the car home . Plug it in and again the battery dies quickly and more smoke from the air ducts.
For some reason the radio is stuck on a Spanish station and you cannot change it .
You call Tesla . You tow the car to Tesla. They see the SALEEN sticker
and they ask you what you did to their car !
They tell you that the warranty is void and they cannot fix it because they do not know what Saleen did to it.
If you want them to fix it they have to tear it apart and restore it back to it's original parts and condition. Another $40K down the drain. Who would sign up for this ?

I am sure the same thing was said before Saleen starting modifing Mustangs....Ha Ha
