You are not following. He didn't meant as if Saleen and his team didn't have the mechanical ability to put the cars back together. He meant that with the current financial situation and state of relationship with suppliers, they would have difficulties completing orders due to all the unique parts that go into a car.

Steve has been losing tens of millions of investor dollars for 30 years.
This website is for investors not auto shop hobbiest.
Anyone can play in their garage making fun cars with other peoples money.
Can they make a business out of it? In Steve case the answer is clearly NO.
He has been bankrupt at least three times and this will be at least his forth bankruptcy.
This time he went public so he is damaging many investors rather than a few.
This time he had no intention of ever making money , only using investor's money to support
his family's rich lifestyle .
