That's helpful, but not being familiar with all the technical aspects of an open vs. closed trial, I think it would be useful to have a bit more of a description of differences between two.

i.e.
An open trial means that results can be revealed to the public at any given time whereas a closed trial's results can only be revealed at .... ?

etc.

Not being familiar with the differences between the two puts me in the place where most of the John Q. Public is. And that's what AF is counting on when he chases this theme down.

Yeah, but I don't think any of the recent PR's on these hot issues even mention the phase of the trial. All of us know it is phase 1, but there may be a lot of people that own stocks and look about as deep as the most recent headline.

And the fact that the phase 2 trial is unblinded, shows the rules are more relaxed than usual. And the fact that is the FDA that has allowed these things, not MD Anderson, puts it further in perspective. But that too has not been mentioned for the peripheral folks.
