Danny. So what should any red-blooded shareholder do?

Sit back and let management do what it wants, regardless of how it affects their investment?

Management has asked for a vote. If they get turned down, it won't be the first time.

But it will send a message.

I really respect your posts, Danny, but this one is amazing to me. I understand you and teecee are 'wise' in the ways of WS. But, the comments you make in your post about institutional investors makes them sound like a bunch of wimps who can't handle anything but calm waters.

You write, "They don't like bad publicity about their stocks even if in the long run it might do some good. They don't like management's attention being diverted by an organized, public shareholder revolt. They also don't want their clients asking why they hold stock in a company where the management is accussed of being greedy, especially in today's environment."

So, they're ok if they just bury their head in the sand? Hey, if in the long run it will do good, I'd be all for it! If management's attention is diverted by a press release then that explains why they never issue any. And why shouldn't clients ask if the company's management is greedy?? Doesn't the institutional guy have an answer that would assure the client the press release is misleading?

Or, just perhaps, the press release has some truth to it.

DannyD: I am still trying to catch up on this board after just learning about the bizarre Press Release. Can you imagine how IDCC representatives might have had their presentation at the Piper Jaffrey Tech Conference sabatoged today if questions were raised about this PR? Talk about a distraction at a critical moment! Some of the investors on this board are so full of themselves it would be too charitable to call them idiots. I don't care if they want to shoot themselves in the head, but it feels like they are shooting at us too now. Wow!
