Corp_Buyer .. Trying to time resolution of the Nokia & Samsung matters such that the "personal windfall" is maximized is high stakes poker indeed for IDCC management. It sure seems to me that the ERICY settlement squarely puts them in the "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" camp. Why would they shift gears so dramatically now? Does Merritt sound like the kind of guy that would be willing to manipulate timing along with all of the other challenges he faces in successfully resolving these matters even if he was ordered to do so? And if you conclude that he would in concert with the rest of management why would you ever want to hold stock in a company whose management would stoop to this kind of manipulation? Greed is one thing, but manipulation is quite another. Wouldn't you be concerned that even if you got #2 defeated that they would be spending most of their time focusing not on the business but on some other devious way to enrich themselves at the shareholders' expense?

Regards,
Danny
