Petaquilla Minerals Ltd.: Discussions on Material Agreement Continuing

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Mar 03, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Further to its news release of February 18, 2014, Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. CA:PTQ -1.67% PTQMF +3.33% (frankfurt:P7Z) (the "Company") confirms that negotiations are continuing on a material agreement. Agreement was not reached by the end of February 2014 as previously indicated but all parties are now hopeful that if the negotiations are successful it will be during March 2014.

The negotiations are focusing on matters in the Petaquilla mining district in the District of Donoso, Panama. Further details shall be disclosed upon conclusion of negotiations.
