I have dealt with Nokia and they are most tenacious and difficult negotiators. The only result that would make them happy is a zero royalty rate. As I have pointed out in the past, they specilize in the low end of the market where every 1/10th of a cent per unit makes a difference. They will fight to reduce every cost item on their P&L. Its nothing personal. Well, maybe a little personal; I believe Howard's ill-advised comments regarding Nokia's obligations after the signing of the Ericsson contract really pissed them off. It was a total lack of respect for the largest player in the marketplace.
