Well, the very first variable used to match patients in the matched concurrent controls presented with the previous study data was age, so there's no way age bias accounts for either the 18.3 month PFS advantage or the 19.4 month OS advantage.
Furthermore, the average age of the earlier group on which stats were widely reported (not counting the pediatric-specific study that was done later) was 50.9 years, so, I have no idea where your range is coming from (other than possible yahoo fud)
