Hi guys, new here to investor hub and hoping for some more meaningful dialogue then over on the Yahoo board. I am very long NWBO but a recent post from someone on average OS for GBM patients worries me greatly. If NWBO phase I/II patients were between 20-35, the average OS is 987 days which would account for the median 3 year survival. Do we have any patient info for the Phase I trial? There are several key factors that influence overall survival of a Glioblastoma Multiforme patient, these include initial diagnosis, number of times the tumor has recurred, patient age, molecular diagnostic results, past therapy, Karnofsky Score, tissue features, along with 50-60 other key variables. It is the job of the Neuro-Oncologist to take into account all factors and formulate the best option for you and your family.
Although it can be difficult to predict survival using just a single variable of pathology diagnosis, in general the following represents the average overall survival of Initially Diagnosed GBM patients treated by UCLA Neuro-Oncology.
