The president of Nicaragua , Daniel Ortega and Wang Jing, company president HKND Group based in Hong Kong , ratified this Saturday, January 11th the work schedule of the construction of the Grand Canal Interoceánico in this Central American country, expected to be built at a cost 50 billion dollars.
Ratification of the work schedule was announced by an official note signed by President Ortega and the Hong Kong businessman .
"The Government of Nicaragua and HKND Group is also pleased to confirm the work schedule of the works of the Grand Canal by Nicaragua , which will begin as contemplated in this December 2014 ," reads the note.
It also concludes that in celebration of the new year , " all the good news on this important project, help to strengthen the optimism , confidence and hope of the Nicaraguan people in their country and their future."
