Aging effect... been there & had that... the vitreous filling of the eye is pulling away from the outer tissue envelope of the eye from the inside as it "dries/shrinks" due to age.

If there is an effect of a "window shade" being pulled "down" that begins to occur... no matter what the orientation, from a side, bottom up, angled, etc., GET IN TOUCH with an eye specialist ASAP!

Do NOT ignore the "window shade effect" should it happen... it's a detaching retina!
