OT: Great news today on the two 13 yr old girls! Thank you for the prayers. One out of the ICU and the other starting to wake up from 72hrs of little response though she is still in the ICU.
For the past 48 hrs it was only one of the girls who was out of the woods as she was released from the ICU after 24 hrs while the other stayed there with no response even after surgery to remove the pressure on her brain. Both of the girls had to have surgery to relieve pressure from the brain when they first arrived at the hospital so they had the head caps removed for 24hrs with shunts put in to relieve the pressure. One of the girls did very well while the other continued to not have any recognition or response.
Now one is out of the ICU and sitting up with possible release next week while the other (worse off), who we were most concerned about, just had her ventilator removed today. She is still in the ICU but the swelling in her brain has gone down dramatically over the last 24hrs and there is a chance they could both make a full recovery though it is too soon to tell how much trauma her brain suffered. We will know more tomorrow.

OT:..Limited posting today as I was at the hospital for two young girls who were senselessly hit by a car. Please pray & give good thoughts for these two girls! Been ignoring the market as I have concerned for these young girls. Been at children's hospital most of the day. Family friends (two 13 yo girls) and friends of my daughter who were hit by a car as they were pressing the button to turn the light green to walk across the street. The guy was a 19 year old who was apparently impaired (texting) when he struck both of the girls. Both were in critical condition in the hospital yesterday. One has moved from the ICU as she is getting better but the other has shown very little progress opening her eyes briefly.
