wbmw, you might as well face it, y'all have already lost this battle. Although everyone admits it's imperfect, AMD's Quantispeed ratings are widely accepted by those who matter(OEMs, hardware reviewers and customers) as being legitimate. Yes, they have adjusted the formula as new models come and conditions change, but they have generally been fairly conservative and not in any danger of the abuse that Cyrix(?) employed.
