Quartz-A company can ask for any rate they want but eventually all rates are negotiated and some benchmark is established as to relative value. If attornies for nok use chat boards to make a point, I'm sure they will utilize the rate structure established by arbitration as a refernce point. To me this goes way beyond simply setting a rate for a particular patent-it will pave the way for consolidation in the industry which is sorely needed.
