" Diac had an interest in the patent prior to the final settlement. He gave up all of it as part of the deal."

I think that's incorrect. They'd POSTURED that... but it wasn't ever true. And, in any case, it's STILL not true that the Receiver is bound by any fact or fiction in any prior "deal"... fraudulent or not. So, the fact the dealings were fraudulent, doesn't really factor into the reality that they're all now "non-extant"... in any degree the receiver decides.

He's fully able to reinvent this... in a way that actually makes sense... and I agree with him that giving Daic 1/10th of 1% makes obvious sense...

Beyond that... we know from long experience that there is no such thing as a "final settlement" with Daic. He'll lie, cheat, and steal as long as he breathes... and his prior 'deals' never inhibit finding new reasons for new deals, to benefit him at others expense... with nothing ever being settled... because there's never an intent it will be.

The only thing different, now... is that the receiver won't be as easily deceived as Daic's prior "partners" were...

The shoe is on the other foot, now... because the receiver has vastly greater latitude than Daic ever did, to reinvent what ever he wants, how ever he wants, whenever he wants, for whatever reason he wants...

And, that's not unique, here... it's just the fact of how it is.

So, while it's always true that no deal is ever a deal until it is done? With Daic, even that's never true... because there is never the intent to reach an agreement and comply... rather than an intent to exploit others expectations that "a deal" means something that matters. With the Receiver ? He's got pretty much the same situation as Daic always tries to create for himself... only it's fully legal for the Receiver to do what he wants, when Daic could only accomplish that through misrepresentation and fraud.

Still not worth getting wrapped around the axle's over it...

I don't think the prior history matters much... in terms of it having any control over how things look in the future.
