The storage temp for an iPhone is 45deg C, but I'm guessing the storage temp for most of the internal components range from 100-150deg C.

If the case were liquidmetal made of one composition.

Do you think the hermetic process could be be accomplished with a second liquid metal composition and achieve all of the following:

1. Be a localized process such that it wouldn't damage the internal components.

2. Wouldn't result in a metal mismatch.

3. The process temperature of the hermetic seal would be lower than the eutectic temperature of the case.

4. Glass to metal seal could also be achieved.

Could apple have developed an indestructible, waterproof iPhone?

The MTBF would be through the roof.
