Sorry, but you are dead wrong! Google may try to buy out VRNG before the trial. They could try and get a good deal as a hedge against what could be potentially a massive lawsuit. Nobody would ever know if it would have been won or lost at that point, so it will be considered a good move by the GOOG board. On the opposite end, if it goes to trial and VRNG wins, VRNG would be doing a huge injustice to their shareholders for accepting a buyout of only a fraction of award damages! That would never happen!

That's like a man going on trial for murder, the jury deciding he is guilty, then he asks the judge for the plea bargain since he was convicted!
