For comparison, I just weighed 2 backglass panels on a calibrated scale.

Apple OEM - 22.018 grams
Aftermarket - 21.648 grams

I'm amazed at the weight. Much heavier than I would have expected. This is without the added weight from the main chassis(side walls).

Something else to note... The back glass has a contact tab which touches a spring contact on the main circuit when the cover is installed. It appears to be lined with a conductive material. Is this used for EMI?

I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. Liquid could kill two birds with one stone.

I'll throw it under a microscope and make some resistivity measurements tomorrow if no one has an answer for this.

In case you're wondering why I have 2 back glass assy's in my posession. I've broken the damn glass twice because I didn't have a cover on it and it's not liquidmetal.
