LOL!!! Look at your source!!

Left wing rag...PRD granted the concessions to MIPSA. 1. Navarro is front runner in PRD only in his mind. 2. If he was elected, and that will never, ever, happen, and tried to stop the mine, his own family would lynch him!!! Ron Paul has a better chance of being elected in the USA with Kuchinich as his VP!! Panama News has less circulation/followers and credibility than the communist party, which is about 1%.

There are three main stream daily nation wide papers in Panama. Each of them backs one of the major parties and everyone knows that fact.

1. La Prensa: backs PRD (largest circulation I believe.) Really hates Martinelli because its owner Eismann was hit with a three million dollar tax bill and his property seized. La Prensa has always backed PRD.

2. La Estrella de Panama: backs the Panamistas who are the anti PRD. Oldest daily paper in the country since 1853.

3. Panama America: The newest large daily newspaper backs CD and Martinelli 100%

Those are the only large daily papers that actually have the news. You can tell who they back by reading accounts of the same news items in each paper. Actually not too bad a system since their bias is in the open and well known, as opposed to covert in the States.

Panama News is published only twice a month and for a while I believe was not even run out of Panama. Might as well read the Globe and Star about the aliens among us!!!

The local TV channels also back particular parties. TVN supports the government. I forget who is who on the other two.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT CONCERNING COBRE PANAMA. God only knows if Navarro said something like that. If he did, it carries no weight with anyone including his own family.

Let my explain some facts: The Panamanian government owns Cobre Panama. The government with direct Ley Petaquilla 2009 granted concession to Petaquilla to develop Cobre Panama. Petaquilla sold some copper interests to what has now become the Inmet/Korean MIPSA. MIPSA is contained wholly within the Petaquilla concessions and also covered by Ley Petaquilla 2009 as is Petaquilla Gold,S.A for SIXTY YEARS. End of story. No worries until approximately year 2069!! Call me then if you have a concern!!!
