It does make we wonder just "what" could we have done different

now it feels like hindsight is 20/20
but I'm doubtful we rally know even now what we should have done different
considering what was socially acceptable

used to hear my grandparents saying the same things we're saying now
and they were just as frustrated in wondering where they went wrong

Imo, the real damage was done back in 1913 and that's what needed to be undone

then under FDR we had certain federal economic socializations forced upon us
and the Dems ruled congress

just how was that on our watch?
it's been a progression of the erosion of this country
there's no simple answer

but it's doubtful just you and I could have changed the way things turned out now
